Wakilo

Help & FAQ

Everything you need to know about discovering plans on Wakilo

Q:What is Wakilo?

Wakilo is a Nigeria-first event discovery aggregator. We scan local ticketing platforms to help you find the best concerts, nightlife, workshops, and gatherings happening across major Nigerian cities like Lagos, Abuja, Benin City, and Ibadan.

Q:How do I buy tickets?

When you find an event you want to attend, click the 'Continue on Tix/Selar' button. We redirect you securely to the official checkout page on the third-party merchant's platform where you can safely purchase your ticket.

Q:Why do some events say 'Date TBC' or 'Price varies'?

Some event listings uploaded by organizers do not specify exact start dates or fixed prices (for example, free events with optional paid VIP tables, or events awaiting local permits). We display these as TBC or 'Price varies' so you are aware before visiting the checkout page.

Q:How does the 'Ask Wakilo' AI prompt work?

Our upcoming AI search agent processes queries written in natural language (e.g. 'chill rooftop in Lagos this weekend under ₦25k'). It matches cities, vibe categories, and dates to recommend the perfect options from our catalog.

Q:Can I save events if I don't have an account?

Yes! Wakilo is account-optional. If you are not logged in, any plans you save are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. If you choose to log in via Google or Email Magic Link later, your saved items will sync automatically with your cloud profile.

Q:I am an organizer. How do I list my event on Wakilo?

Since Wakilo automatically indexes cultural and entertainment events from Selar and Tix.Africa, the easiest way to show up on Wakilo is to list your event on either of those checkout platforms. Our pipelines will crawl and sync it automatically!
